Various graphic card manufacturers like Albatron and several others launched Dx10 low end card-GeForce 8400GS. This card has 16 stream processors clocked at 900 MHz with a 450MHz core clock which more or the less similar to the GeForce 8500GT.

The memory interface is 64-bit interface instead of the 128-bit interface found on the 8500GT. The 8400GS also sports PureVideo HD for hardware accelerated video decoding, it enables decoding of H.264, VC-1 and MPEG2 high-definition video formats.

The all new Nvidia 8700M GT renders better gfx than a Xbox360?

With not even few hours after the launch of Nvidia’s all new DX10 capable card- 8700M GT, Nvidia has proven to be a little heavy on Xbox360 fans. Nvidia’s tests have officially overtaken the Xbox360 by a notebook GPU. This card seems to be rendering better looks than a Xbox360. You can view the results from the pics. The all new 8700M GT has first appeared on Toshiba’s Dynabook Satellite WXW.

  • Nvidia’s new addition to Dx10 cards- The 8800Ultra

Nvidias new addition to Dx10 cards- The 8800Ultra

Till now it was the 8800GTX card which was the best in the market, but now it seems that there is another competetor for this monster, its the 8800Ultra.
This new monstrous card is heavily priced at $829.

The 8800 ultra version includes premium versions of the GTX’s components, overclocked to a 612MHz core clock, 1500MHz shader clock and 1080MHz memory clock.

Even though this card is heavily priced, it just beats the performance of 8800GTX by an increase of about 10%-15% only, which is too less for this heavy price tag. According to me if one has a 8800GTX, then its not worthy to be dumped for a 8800 Ultra. Same applies for a SLI setup of the 8800GTX cards as well.

The 8800 GTX has 128 units, the GTS cards have 96 shader units. But unfortunately the 8600’s have 32 and the 8500’s have 16. Now this is something really bad from nvidia, there should have been atleast 48 in the 8600’s.

The ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT is going to be a deadly extreme Dx10 card. The AMD ATI Radeon HD 2900-series features 320 stream processors, over twice as many as NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800 GTX, isnt that really suprising.

The R600-based ATI Radeon HD 2900-series products also support 128-bit HDR rendering. AMD has also upped the ante on anti-aliasing support. The ATI Radeon HD 2900-series supports up to 24x anti-aliasing with physics processing. NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800-series only supports up to 16x anti-aliasing.

24x AA is way too much, looks like AMD is really going to manufacture killers out there which will strangle out the 8800’s.
